Community, Santa Maria, CA – Water System Consolidation Feasibility Assessment and Engineering Design

Ray Water Company

Weber, Hayes and Associates was retained to provide technical assistance under a State Water Board Grant to develop clean drinking water solutions for the Rayville Lane Community. The feasibility analysis indicated that consolidation of Ray Water Company with the City of Santa Maria water system was the most viable solution to provide long-term quality water supplies to the small, disadvantaged community. Work tasks completed include:

  • Final Engineering Report with an evaluation of project alternatives to resolve Nitrate contamination in groundwater-supplied drinking water
  • 100% design and engineering plans and specifications of a water main, distribution line, and service connections to connect the Rayville Lane community with the City of Santa Maria Water System
  • Correspondence and coordination with State Water Board staff, University Enterprises Incorporated (UEI) grant administration staff, City of Santa Maria, and various public agencies
  • Contractor bid package and special provisions development
  • Project permitting, agency review, and CEQA compliance including Biologic and Cultural Reports
  • Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) Construction Application, with the required General, Technical, and Environmental Packages.
