School, Soledad, CA – Groundwater Well and Storage Design and Engineering

School: Mission Union Elementary School

Weber, Hayes and Associates was retained to provide technical assistance under a State Water Board Grant to develop clean drinking water solutions for Mission Union Elementary School. The feasibility analysis indicated that development of a new groundwater source well and water storage was the most viable solution to provide long-term quality water supplies to the School. Work tasks completed include:

  • Final Engineering Report with an evaluation of project alternatives to resolve Nitrate contamination in groundwater-supplied drinking water
  • 90% design and engineering plans and specifications of a new groundwater well, water storage tanks, and tie-in to the existing distribution system
  • Correspondence and coordination with State Water Board staff, Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC) grant administration staff, School District Staff, design partners, and various public agencies
  • Project permitting, agency review, and CEQA compliance including Biologic and Cultural Reports

Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) Construction Application, with the required General, Technical, and Environmental Packages.
